After my first trip to Egypt back in 2010, when I was
still a vegetarian, I discovered real tahini (or as
they call it there,
tahina), and ate it with
As salad dressing, as meze, as sandwich
spread... I could not get enough of it. It was like
peanut butter, only different – more exotic, more
versatile, and better.

|cup||raw almond milk|
|tbsp||organic ground cinnamon|
|tsp||organic ground cardamon|
|–||drops||liquid vanilla Stevia (for sweetness)|
A few years later I discovered a recipe Cinnamon Tahini Protein Smoothie by Nutritionstripped, one of my favourite food bloggers and sources of healthy recipes. I was overjoyed to replicate my Egypt experience at home, and adapted the recipe by adding one of my favourite spices: cardamon. It turned out simply divine.... a mix of chai and tahini in a nutrition bomb.
|Combine all the ingredients in a blender until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.|
|Pour into a glass and garnish with extra chia seeds.|
